Entire Project
The SimplyAretha Unicorn PNGTuber project was created to develop a distinctive virtual character that captures the creator's whimsical personality while standing out in the streaming community. Inspired by fantasy and pastel aesthetics, the design combines a charming chibi style with expressive features and unique accessories to create a memorable on-screen presence.
The character features soft, doe-like eyes, shimmering multicoloured hair, a glitter-inspired mane, and a custom unicorn design enhanced with an Indigenous-inspired necklace to add meaningful, personalized detail. The illustration was carefully simplified into clean vector shapes, making it both visually appealing and easy to recreate in Adobe Illustrator while remaining suitable for animation and future asset expansion.
The PNGTuber was designed as a complete character system, with multiple facial expressions and reactive states that allow the avatar to respond naturally during livestreams. The project demonstrates how thoughtful character design can strengthen a creator's personal brand while maintaining consistency across streaming platforms and social media.
